About WildWord Fiction
This is where I publish fiction-in-progress and the notes that travel with it—craft notes, revision notes, and relevance notes about living in the age of accelerating technologies.
I’m obsessed with meaning – how we make it, bend it, break it, long for it, and miss it. Meaning is sensing the depth dimension of reality and claiming it for our own. There’s an art to meaning-making; it’s hard-won, and we mess up as often as we succeed. My stories explore characters striving to make meaning under strange or terrible circumstances.
I want to engage people who care about the art of meaning-making as much as I do, and who will think with me about meaning-making in the age of artificial intelligence, advanced biotechnology, climate instability, and world-ending weapons.
I’m drawn to stories that test ideas where they matter: in love, conscience, loyalty, and the small choices that shape a life. If you want human-hearted fiction that stays in contact with the real world and is carefully researched and richly informed—without becoming a lecture—you’re in the right place.
